About Scott Equity Exchange

The Scott Equity Exchange was formed in December of 1919 in the town of Scott, Ohio.  Located on the Van Wert-Paulding county line.  There were 76 founding members each buying 2 shares for $100.00 a piece.  Over the years Scott Equity has expanded its grain storage facilities and locations.  In July of 1988 the Scott Equity Exchange, bought the Weiker Grain Elevator in Van Wert, OH.  With the purchase of Weiker Grain, the customers of Scott Equity were able to gain access to a rail facility.  Over the years, Scott Equity Exchange has been able to expand the variety of services it offers to its shareholders.  In January of 2005, Scott Equity added a bulk fuel plant at its Van Wert, OH location completing the purchase of the assets of Middle Point Farmers Service Associations in Middle Point, OH.

Today, the Scott Equity Exchange has over 3.16 million bushels of grain storage capacity at 2 locations.  The Scott, OH branch can store close to 1.5 million bushels of grain.  It is also able to dry 70,000 bushels of grain a day and is also the main office for the company.  The Van Wert, OH location can store over 1.6 million bushels of grain.  It’s also able to dry over 105,000 bushel of grain a day.  Also, the Van Wert facility gives the customers of Scott Equity access to rail facilities, enabling it to ship grain to various locations throughout the country.

Scott Equity Exchange also offers a wide range of other service to its shareholders.  Both locations are also full service Agronomic Centers, offering a full line of seed, fertilizer, ag. products, and custom application.   Scott Equity also has available for its shareholders nurse wagons, fertilizer spreaders, and fertilizer toolbars for rent.  With a highly trained staff of applicators and agronomy personnel, we are able to develop a crop plan to fit your needs.
