Position Description:
Scott Equity Exchange is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Agronomist to join our team. The Agronomist will play a key role in advising clients on crop production, soil management, and sustainable farming practices. You will work closely with farmers, providing expertise to optimize crop yield and improve overall farm productivity. This role is ideal for someone passionate about agriculture, with strong analytical skills and a background in agronomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert agronomic advice to clients on soil health, crop protection, fertilization, and pest management.
- Creates and develops intimate relationships with customers focusing on top business and relationship accounts
- Develop and implement crop production plans to maximize yields and minimize environmental impact.
- Conduct soil and tissue testing, analyze data, and recommend tailored nutrient management plans.
- Stay updated on the latest agricultural research, technology, and practices to share with clients.
- Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to ensure the success of crop production systems.
- Monitor crop progress and field conditions, adjusting recommendations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, recommendations, and field trials.
- Assist in the evaluation of new products, technologies, and techniques to improve farm performance.

- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Crop Science or other business/agriculture related field of study (6-10 years of related job experience may substitute for education).
- 2+ years of experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or related agricultural work.
- Strong knowledge of soil science, plant nutrition, crop production, and pest management.
- Ability to analyze and interpret soil, plant, and crop data.
- Proficiency with precision agriculture tools and technology is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations.
